Hey doc! I would like to thank you for your time and knowledge that you have given me during these two days of orientation. I truly enjoyed your methods of teaching and training. With your exercises, I was able to use my clinical eye during clinical cases that you presented.
Thank you once again and I hope we meet soon.

My name is Xavier Rivera, UAG student, and recently we were at the orientation this week and I want to say that I’m happy to be part of this team that will excel in the medical career and I believe that this semester will be great. Thank you for advising us the do’s and do not’s if being a physician here in Houston and to understand how to approach the patients and personnel in order to have a better stay. I’m from Puerto Rico and even though medicine is basically the same, I have to admit that there will be a challenge here due to the multicultural establishment here in the city, but I’m looking forward to learn and do my best. Also I would like to say that I enjoyed the time we had together because I felt we were a team that’s going to help our patients out. Thank you for your support and I hope I see you soon and maybe student while doing ER or research!

My experience here in Houston is an excellent one. I am learning a lot and I can compare these rotations with others because in the past I did my third and part of my fourth year of medical school in NJ and PR. I don’t have any complains with my education in the past twelve months. I am very grateful with PES and the accommodation of all of my rotations. We as students have to remember something, if you want to become a good doctor you have to experience a lot of things. You need to have the ability to shape all of the challenges.
I applied to do the pre-internships here in Houston, Texas and hopefully will be accepted to do the pre-internship with PES next semester.

Overall my experience so far in the Houston Memorial Hermann program has been great. I learned tons of medicine during my ICU rounds alongside an experienced critical care specialist and team. Also during my medicine rotation, I worked with an interventional cardiologist, reading EKG’s, cardiac stress tests, and viewing the doctor perform catheterizations & PCI. My pediatrics rotation provided me with many interesting exanthemas, skin infections, and cardiac defects.

I’m currently rotating at Dr. Vega’s office for internal medicine (endocrinology). I love this clinic. First of all, the staff is very nice and friendly, including both doctors (Vega and Davila), the PA and MAs. I have had the opportunity to see different common medical conditions such as DM and thyroid disease. I do medical histories and physical examination by myself, giving me the chance to practice according to my medical knowledge; then I present patients to the doctor so she can give the appropriate treatment and management. Both doctors explain the reason of each step and answer my questions. I also like the presentations about different diseases with Dr. Davila when we are not seeing patients. The doctors are very good
treatment and management. Both doctors explain everything to patients and create a good patient-doctor relation. I highly recommend this rotation. They have motivated me to be a good doctor, not only in a professional way, but also in a humanitarian way. There’s also a good opportunity to get LORs

I wanted to take a moment and write about my experience here in Houston so far. I cannot be more grateful for this opportunity. My communication with Pinnacle Educational Services has been excellent. I have gotten all the information in advance, which is very effective when you are planning your time and getting ready for each rotation. Another thing that I think is worth mentioning is the help and support that I have received from Pinnacle and their staff. I am so happy and grateful I came to Houston and found PES.

I completed a family rotation through Pinnacle Educational Services. I have had an excellent experience with this rotation; I’ve learned an array of clinical skills by full patient contact. There is a variety of patients and this helped me learn bedside manners and it has been a great chance for me to review the various pathologies from endocrine abnormalities, congestive heart failure, and even rare cases like congenital arterial-venous malformations and bleeding disorders. This was an excellent chance for me to further enhance and solidify my basic science knowledge for my USMLE board exams.
Pinnacle Educational Services provides an excellent opportunity for medical students to connect with the best doctors and clinical rotations that help them to gain successful placements for their future. I would recommend PES to any medical student who is looking for a chance to further upgrade their resume.

My surgery rotation was excellent. We saw a lot of procedures. We read about several topics everyday and we discussed them. I had a good time!
